Download and install the latest portable setup where you want then run intellij-idea-community-portable.exe.
If you have already installed IntelliJ IDEA™ Community from the original setup, move the following files :
%USERPROFILE%\.IntelliJIdea*\config\plugins to data
%USERPROFILE%\.IntelliJIdea*\system\log to data
%USERPROFILE%\.IntelliJIdea*\config to data
%USERPROFILE%\.IntelliJIdea*\system to data
Then run intellij-idea-community-portable.exe and remove IntelliJ IDEA™ Community from your computer.
Upgrade
For an upgrade, simply download and install the latest portable setup.

Configuring JVM options
