| Rating: 1 | | Total Hits - 92 | | | Can you afford to retire? Retirement Planner knows! Use the simple worksheets or a data wizard to enter your personal data, income, expenses, investments and assets then click on the Net Worth button to view a graph showing your estimated net worth from now to the end of retirement. Click on the Income/Expense button for a graph showing how your income and expenses balance over time. Retirement Planner models your future on a month-by-month basis. Each month it calculates the growth in your investments along with increases in inflation, income, social security, etc. It then takes your earned income and social security, deducts any social security and income taxes you owe and then subtracts your living expenses. If there is a shortfall it 'sells' some of your investments to make up the difference, it even reinvests any excess money that may be present. The results of these complex calculations are easy to understand graphs. Retirement Planner allows you to select Inflation and Investment Return rates to tailor the program to your portfolio. You define the number of years to project ahead, allowing the program to be used for short term or long-term forecasts. Each item has an optional Start Date and End Date to capture short term or one-time events such as college tuition or an inheritance. Data can be saved to files; you can develop alternate strategies and compare the results. Retirement Planner can print data and graphs - print results for your records. Color printers are supported. An online users manual contains complete screen-by-screen instructions for using the program and contains an overview of the retirement planning process. | | http://www.rivercitysoftware.biz/ | Last Updated on 7/2/2008 6:15:00 PM |
